When we met in 1955, it instantly clicked between us. We were both at crossroads in our life and able to support each other mostly with humor and laughter. Nothing - not even death - can take away those memories. And while we both have made new friends over the years, they only see us as we have become but we know the history that we grew from and that shaped us to face the future events of our life. Because of this history there has always been a continuity in our relationship which has been so comfortable and treasured. You will never be forgotten. As always, Nettie To Karin and Francisca: Thank you so very much for keeping me informed about your mom's situation. The following quote of Kahlil Gibran comes into my head whenever I think of you girls. "Oh heart, if one should say to you that the soul perishes like the body, answer that the flower withers, but the seed remains." Betti lives on. Namaste, Nettie
